I wanted to share and update people with my projects

but alot of it seems to get lost in many threads.

Decided to create one thread

aimed to show and describe everything i'm doing when it comes to my art

...and adventures to becoming a Game Developer.



In the thread feel free to ask any questions! =)



[Questions/Answers]


    Q: What Software do you use?

    A: For my art I use Manga Studio 5 & Paint Tool Sai for my hand drawings. I use Inkscape for all my vector art.

    Q: What do you draw on?

    A: I started out with a Wacom Bamboo tablet i bought off a guy locally for 50 dollars or so a year ago. Now I use a Surface Pro 3.

    --------------

    Q: What do you use for making games?

    A: Flash CC (Animate CC) for Animations / Inkscape for Game Assets / Unity 5 as the game engine / MonoDevelop as code editor / C# as the code language (learning)

    I do sometimes work in Flash CC for little projects, AS3 as the language.

    Q: End Goal?

    A: My vision of a fun 2d sidescrolling MMORPG. More info to come.

Today's update:

DaviM12 from HHChat is my partner, doing the same tuts, working with me in Unity. He is now also a new moderator in the chat. Congrats


Today I worked on animation sprite sheet, coding in left and right movement in c#

On the right path so far. I'm going to be learning the many other ways to animate and make character movement aswell.


Our goal is to end up with a working demo of basic character movement using player.io. An online demo basically buy thanksgiving.

As a movement mechanic, you could possibly have the option to roll, as if avoiding something.

FstMario: Yes rolling is a perfect idea! I will try it out, make it where as you roll you avoid damage for that set period of time

I'm interested to get into this kind of field, but knowing very little outside of unreal engine 4 and no coding whatsoever, it'd be cool if I could be a part of the game testing / beta testing stage. Just pm me or just reply if that's cool :)

Nothing too new from what you seen. I was sick badly yesterday so im catching up to Davi. I worked on shooting objects and particles.

and MAN particles, so EASY in unity. Also very easy to edit.

Literally this is the backbone to magic, special items and weapons. Smoke. Anything. easy special effects.



Will be showing what i can do soon with particles


With that said, Davi and I hype is hard to control. We already talked how much particles will improve our games its nuts.

I'm kinda worried about updating daily because peoples would think that I'm spammy, but basically...
Nearly all of the art seen are placeholders, they should be removed when we're done understanding how to use coding to interact with the objects we place, and stuffs...

nothing too much to update today. Just testing some art asset ideas like this display case for items for stores

My dad is teaching me Adobe AI and I am working on a one handed axe, dont add it to the game yet, still in development.
