You guys remember when there wasnt a PH lock and there were 4 times the players? When a shiny spawned every 1-3 minutes? Yeah i remember too..Now if a shiny spawns in 10 minutes its good. Many noobs became unable to play, meaning that area which spawned the needed shinies become unloaded thus making its fishes very rare for crafting/else.
With ticket prices skyrocketing due to petafking in Pservers with many alts, money inflated a lot, while fishes became sacred. The current system is just no good for the current player amount so it should need some revision.
What can you do in the current game? Peafking: wow hell of a fun..grinding? Working hard, getting stronger slowly.Chat? We have facebook. Pvp? Imbalanced due to insane p2w players, some classes have better skills than others,and the lag. So only grinding is the only good option here, but its a bit hard, and you cant compete with the petafkers soooo....
There is little to no reward in fishing/chopping trees, increasing their level..Lets be honest, that +1ms/level while fishing is not a great reward when almost everybody fishes with repeating C constantly...Players should have a motive to upgrade these two skills as well.
First i was thinking about some +luck on certain levels reached, making grinding better if you spent time beforehand duing these two activities.
But then hell nah, there would be some fishers but thats not a big deal and fix nothing.
So to fishing, i thing there should be an alternative way to "farm" a selected shiny and not just hope that the selected one spawns.
A: like with logs, you can exchange 10 normal fish of the same kind to a shiny version. Its easy to program without dubt, solve most of the problems but isnt that interesting.
The following alternatives will have fishing level involved, meaning higher level would net you more shiny fish.
B:A fish spawns with a number between 1-550, if its 1 its a shiny(this is how the system works), but the change is, if you happen to fish one which number is lower or equal to your fishinglevel/3, then youd get a shiny fish.
That means a level 1650 would catch every normal fish as the shiny version.(Note getting 1650 with fishing is as ridicolous as getting to 1650 with only killing crabs at most...but most of the time it would be like killing purple goo)
Programing wise, i dont know if the fishes keep their number after spawn or not, but adding it isnt a big thing and could be done by a dumb monkey.
C:Similar to B, the difference is there is a lottery like NPC which takes normal fishes and may give the shiny version, and your chances would increase with your level.
Programing: the fishes wouldnt need an extra variable, reducing memory need, but would need an npc which calculates things.
D: Similar to B, the difference is, that the fish regenerates the number with every drop...Meaning you could turn a fish into shiny after many tries... to make it balanced, the chance would increase after lvl 50, and youdt get an extra number every 5 level, meaning youd need 2780 fishing level to catch every fish as shiny...
A is simple, but its not that much fun.
B is fair, with "hidden" shinies only being revealed when caught.Its only for new spawn fishes, releasing wont give a chance to get the shiny version.
C: bring in more fun for gamblers, and need you to go to an NPC to change normal fishes to shinies with a chance.You only know if you got a shiny after given it to npc.
D:Good if you want to rerelease fishes over and over until you got one shiny.
B and D could cause problems, like getting a shiny fish when you need a normal, so for them to be active, you need to use another pole, a golden version of the current pole for example to get the benefits of your fishing level.
With events and petafkers,(not even mentioning duppers but i just did), it wouldnt be OP.. youd need time to level fishing up, and its not easy since the best fish give only <30 xp and you need exactly as much fishing xp as for normal levels.
These are just scratches, it could be updated, making shiny fish radar have an actual use...(no, you wont get 1000 shiny with it and get its price back with the competition for shinies.)There should be a PV rework but thats another thing.

Well chopping trees didnt get much attention but after some level, lets say lvl 50, it should increase the minimum drop to one, so youd get atleast one log.
