Hearty congratulations to AlphaGhost for solving the Murder at Larry's Murder of Omen Murder Mystery. Turns out I did it.
He opted to join the guild as his special reward for not turning me in. So, welcome AlphaGhost! It's most appropriate that the top ghost would win out on All Saint's Day.
In other news, the pods are all updated. Cephalopod Pod especially went through a lot of changes. Take note of your pod!

I've been super busy- most of my plays have been short jaunts into game this past week or two (during one such jaunt, we met). That busyness shall fluctuate.
Tortoise Pod needed a member, I believe. If you prefer a different animal, I can arrange a trade.

Hey uh Gregore I don't think the pods are working. Maybe we should have a guild ranking system. This would be based on level and your contributations to the guild. If you work to promote the guild or help it in some way you will be promoted.
This is all in order from highest down to lowest rank.

Interesting, Freefall! You're right, the pods aren't perfect. It's hard to get any sort of structure in place in a game with so much turnover. Although I don't know if it'd be any easier with a hierarchy, I'm willing to consider it- although, at the same time, I'm not prepared to do away with pods. How do you think the implementation would look? How are the ranks determined?
If you want to head up the project, you have my full support.

Just pointing out, that system is gender biased to only fit male players. You may want to account for female players.

On another topic- gearing up for another event. The last one worked well enough from my perspective- ended up smaller due to my own busyness (partially dropped the ball on participation recruitment)- but there was some definite engagement and it gave the game a certain tint for a time. If you're a guild member and interested in participating in the implementation of the next one- it's going to be more of a scavenger hunt/riddley thing, but loose, like the last one, so as not to necessitate scheduling playtimes- let me know.

Hi Gregore,
I would like to bring this to your attention, another one of my roommates has decided to start playing the game as well.
He just started yesterday and has since made a lot of progress. He is now currently level 26 if not more by now.
He has opted to be considered for the guild through the game already. His name though not too promising but as a player very adaptable; masterqueef all in lower case. The reason for this interesting name is to imitate master chief from halo but with some fun.
If you can look aside the name I feel like he would be a great addition to our guild.

Hi Freefall,
Thanks for taking a look at my request. He is not an asshole, only to me but I have known him for 8 years or so. But I rarely think that would be an issue. I would rather have him in the main body so I can help him out with farming on occasions but it is really up to you guys. He just surprised me by playing all of a sudden yesterday and he seems to be into it more or less.

Perfect, Phearsom! For those of you following along, this has to do with our next guild event. So, hang onto those- you're ready to go. I just want to find out how many Guild-based participants we have and then get it all coordinated.
I'm loving this discussion. From the start, I've tried to stay away from an autocratic structure, but the rapid shifting of membership and other barriers to communication made that difficult. So, however whenever we can make decisions via a broader body and still actually make a decision- I'm all for it.
Here's a proposal that I think incorporates both Phearsom and Freefall's idea. We let the Queefing fellow (why a queef wishes escape escapes me) in with the caveat that he has, say, three weeks to get to level 70 (Freefall's proposed cut-off). So, presuming we agree to this and I bring accept his request today, he'll need to get to 70 by the 26th of November. Pretty doable if he plays.
Along with that- Phearsom/Revivified/Conkle5/MasterQueef is almost a pods worth of people. Do you think the pod structure is more effective if the pod members are more naturally allied? I've, until now, kept the three of you separate since you already had a real-world bond. The idea being that the pod bond would run along a different access thereby giving you more connections. However, as Freefall pointed out, the pod system is somewhat weak. Perhaps if we had a pod that actually acts like a pod it would provide a good model? What do y'all think? Should we do some shifting and experiment?
Freefall, how about we combine your ranking with your new job as Head Arms Trainer? To make it easier to objectively bring people up and down your ranking system, we could have it tied solely to level gain. It would mean some clerical work on your behalf, but I think it would be a net positive. If you're down, I suggest you PM ArnoldElfman on this forum. He has been working on an incentive system tied to level gain and it seems like it would gel well with your system.

Hey Ataak here with a member recommendation... I would like to have Lordpellin put up for consideration. He is a level 156 warrior and an awesome fellow, he works his butt off in the game and is always a pleasure to interact with... one of my favorite people in the Helmet Heroes
