Tasks, and Rare Forms! New monsters and reason to grind!

I think there should be a special monster that can spawn anywhere but only does so rarely. Let's call it a Rare Form. The rare form would have a chance of giving tickets to the player, dropping assorted rare items, shiny fish, or large amounts of either exp or cash.

The chance of a Rare Form spawning would be 3/10,000 for a Bronze Form, 2/10,000 for a Silver Form, and 1/10,000 for a Gold Form. These would not spawn in the beginner's areas though, only from areas that have a penguin stength or stronger enemies.

This would add some spice to an otherwise monotonous grinding session.
If you're always looking for something that rarely shows up, you're more inclined to grind, play the game, and explore. I think there should be three rare forms.

Bronze Form: a recolor of the penguin, but with a bronze helmet and body and the same stats, extremely low chances of dropping extra rewards/items or a task. Always drops at least 1 reward though

Silver Form: a blockbot with a shiny silver coloured body with the stats of a blockbot, low chances of dropping extra rewards/items or a task, always drops one reward though

Gold Form: A gold-coloured brick monster with the stats of a brick, uncommon chances of dropping an extra rewards/items or a task, always drops 2 rewards though

The chance of any of these three spawning a “task” should be 1/10 for Bronze, 1/5 for Silver, and 1/3 for Gold

A task would be a simple test of the player. It would ask the player to do something, like kill 20 of this monster, catch this shiny fish, craft this gear, defeat this boss, get 100 kills in pvp, solve a riddle about an NPC you need to talk to, or a place you need to go, and the difficulty of these tasks would be random. If you don't like or can't do the task, just drop it and hope for another one.

After completing the requirements then show the task to the “Task Master” in the guild house. There should be 20 different tasks, with the same random chances of dropping as an item. The task would hold 1 spot in your inventory, but if you drop it, it will be destroyed. You cannot sell or trade it. And you can only have 1 task at a time. If you have it in your inventory, no more tasks will drop. The Task Master will reward you randomly between 10k-500k, 1-15 tickets, and one item at random as long as it is worth 20m or less for every task you complete. When this happens, it will disappear from your inventory, allowing you to find another task.

You should have a quest that says complete 50 tasks. Once you have done this, on the completion of the 50th task, the Task Master will give you an additional 20 tickets and 20m as a reward. After doing so, completing tasks will award you the 1/10 chance of getting yet another task straight from the Task Master when you complete any task. This will make people more likely to finish the quest to complete 50 tasks, and will encourage gameplay by making collecting lots of tasks really pay off.
There should be a be a count of how many tasks each player has done on the leaderboard, and you should get overall points for each task. There should also be a sign in the guild house showing the top three task collectors. Just like there is for pvp.

I think this is a very interesting idea and from the sounds of it Robby could even use already existing assets to do this (like the task is a book and the book has something similar to the quest UI)

Support, just anything new to make the game more fun and enjoyable again. Granted I know most of the people who still play are very high level (500-1000s<) try not to forget the newer more casual players. At this point they're the ones who can make the most impact for HH.

You had me at the first sentence. Anything that gives tickets is a god-send to all f2p players

support!

Personally, I think that immersion in the game is really lacking so implementing a greater reward mechanism via interaction with NPCS has some great potential.

i really like the idea! but the chances of robby putting it in this game is low if he also likes the idea he will put it in eliatopia most likely because he has given up hope on this game

wow i just checked to see what eliatopia is about. wth the only notable feature was the 3d map...
Also, if anyone has played adventure quest, the quest system can be something like that. I really enjoyed doing quests for that game (the game was lowkey pay to play and the grinding takes longer)
