I wonder if there should be a padding for better foods? Watermelons I feel like help more than apples, and turkeys are buy only(I think?), so is there any weighting system here?

Nope. We considered that (among other things) but opted for simplicity.
In practice, I've found that, when soliciting food, the most common donation has been Watermelon. Since ideally the donations come from the general public, incentivizing the distributors (our guild members) would have little effect. Further, at low levels, a melon is as good as a turkey.

Yowza! Our Food Drive has been rolling for a week now and, thus far, has been a great success! Around 750 lbs of food have been distributed to the poor and hungry of Helmet Heroes and we've only just begun to roll!
Here's how you can help make the Food Drive even more of a great success:
1. Spread the word- not all the guild knows yet. "Spread the word"!
2. Solicit food from the wealthy. I personally have changed where I grind so as to have a greater chance of running into someone whom might have a spare watermelon to throw down to the peons. Don't be shy! Copy and paste!
3. Distribute- Be giving. Don't be afraid of someone not deserving the food. Let the apples flow. If the receiver is selfish or of hazardous intent, your kindness will do naught but help.
4. Report your distributions to your overseer. Overseers- keep your tally as current as feasible! Personally, I prefer to get my reports by PM here, on the forum, but wherever's convenient.

Guys, I have a tough decision to make. I was witness to a horrendous crime tonight and I don't know what I should do. The culprit was one of our own guildmates! What do you guys think I should do?

This is a tough case of scruples! Before I weigh in, maybe a poll is warranted?

Perhaps. On one hand, Viper is a known ripoff artist. On the other hand, vigilante justice is no proper way to behave.

Couldn't it be, though, given the right circumstances? I mean, assuming a somewhat fair government that makes an attempt to uphold its laws- sure, vigilantism is more a shadow sport. The world in which we dwell, however- Helmet Heroes, strikes me as far more Libertarian, very few laws to actually uphold; even laws against robbery. Hence, it is for us to stymy the misogynistic doinky-toink that is Viper. I mean, there ain't a law, right?
