I wanna start a serious discussion. I've been thinking alot lately on what i wish Helmet Heroes & MapleStory could of been.

viewtopic.php?f=7&t=43212But since we've been working we discussed many many good ideas for if and when we get a working mmorpg up and running
such as:
1: a well thought out class system.
2: a beautiful particle system
3: mage elements spells, how they would work like
-- Fireball: would be thrown like a softball, physics handling how far and where. Fire will damage over time (5-15 seconds) per hit
-- Ice Shard: Directly shoots at a fixed line. Which means you should be aiming at the target, you can miss. Freezes target for set period of time making them slow.
-- Lightening Strike: Will be casted every so often, tracks and will hit the monster.. stunning them for 10 seconds. Little damage, its crowd control spell.
4: Very detailed and random loot system, full of commons, rare rank system.
5: Monsters actually will attack back, can reuse the mage spells to work for them including custom make attacks.
-- Note, monsters will be able to target you.
6: Grouping. 6 people per group.
7: Bosses. Most likely unsoloable, will need the group.
We also have alot of ideas that are on the "list of unsure"
such as:
1: Unlimited Levels? personally we believe MOST mmorpgs dont have this for a big reason, it creates unfairness. It creates a gap of which higher players have zero content.
2: Stats vs Armor based stats.
--WEEEE think stats is a good thing. Able to buy stats? fuck no. That means devs need to increase monsters stats just to keep up. Which makes newer people at a VERY bad disadvantage turning them off from the game. I believe armor based is more controlling for dev to provide a proper game.
