Nice design. I can try converting that into an SVG so it's in Inkscape format.

Boozy, good job, but just wanted to point out that your green sword looks a lot like the 2 handed kreeton sword

I have made tons of swords man, some from when i was new to it and some when i got better. Either way, i made it by hand to resemble that sword.

Note: more updates soon. The day before yesterday i spent most my day learning stuff and getting showing Davi12 how to work in inkscape, showed him everything i knew which took hours to do.

Then yesterday we took the day to learn more about animation since it will be a big part of the game obviously. Davi12 focused on spritesheet animation which he was quickly able to make an end result to show. I took a different path and made a "character rig" which basically takes all the character body parts, sets them up in Unity, and i drag.. move around parts, use a timeline and animate that way saving each animation into a file.

Im still learning how to take the animation files and turn it into code so i have nothing to really show yet for that.

Note about the axe: I know you are tempted to just draw it because inkscape has a learning curve to it, and i don't have the time with all the work im doing to remake it, but the items NEED to be in vector format and resemble the artstyle of the other items i have made. Which means hand drawn will not work

Its Monday again. Last night i focused on making new landscape assets.

So far i replaced everything except the character sprites. I planned on using a different animation setup, but requires alot of work to add it in to replace the current "frame by frame" animation when its set up to use our current scripts.

So for now it stays the same. Here is a video on the entire new look though!

Update:

First, I made more assets.

Image

Image <- Heh, it was so easy i couldnt help make it.

But the biggest news is Davi & I was able to connect an unrelated game project to player.io (the actual live server, not the Development server!), walked around, and chat in the chatbox.

Image

So now that we understand player.io, how it works with Unity over Flash... We can try adding it to a simple custom made game.

Once we feel like we know what we are doing, we will be building it into our current 2D project or remake a project around player.io itself. Only time will tell which path makes more sense.

=) so, yeah, figured it out.

today, working on come character designs. Right what you see here is the formation of the body (which you really won't see in game) for shaping armor around.

What do you use to capture the gif? Do you record it like that, or convert a video into a gif?

As this project continues, I can not help saying that I love all this, I want to be one of the faithful players of your game, I'm excited about all your efforts in animation art work etc, it's rare that everything but everything you do is your own, before you say it, I want to help you with the sprites (art) of both design of funds and things to equip. but I'd like to know, do you still work on this? or have you abandoned it?

Yes, unfortunately this project got abandoned.

I still have files and all, but the issue for both Davi and I was time. Once Davi left to go to school I felt like it was impossible.

However, I do see a light.

I've been reading and looking into a lot of what makes an .io game and its networking, html5. Basically Its just adding Javascript coding with what i already know (html/css) however as of right now, its above my head to be honest. I'm more of an artist, designer and love front end stuff like what it makes to make a website. ALL that when it comes to coding animation/UI/and maybe even networking I CAN do.

However if i was to do this again, I need another partner. One who can understand coding, either with javascript (preferred) or C# to continue working in Unity.

So. If you are reading this, looking at the past work and youre serious about learning to code or already know how to, then please message me on discord Image so we can talk.

I know together with somebody we can accomplish this.
