Whenever online games are drastically altered there's bound to be a debate whether the implemented changes improved the overall game play or made it worse. Gret points out that more content is going to be added. This is much needed since the number of hunting grounds has actually shrunk when it ought to been the opposite.
As I see it, the pre-patched version of Helmet Heroes worked fine and I'm a proponent of the ‘when it works leave it alone’ philosophy. During the last days I've hardly experienced the dreaded white loading screen of death at all. But during the last 24 hours, I've crashed six times when moving between areas. My overall impression so far isn't ‘wow this is finally an awesome game’, it's more like ‘why?’
I feel the poll in this thread is somewhat redundant. I think changes are here to stay regardless of how players vote. However the OP is absolutely right in highlighting a very severe issue – the game has gotten worse, and therefore I vote yes. Perhaps the patch needed more work before release, perhaps it'd been wiser to add test areas, I don't know, but the game has gotten worse and players are disgruntled. My advice is to figure out why people fell in love with the game in the first place; find the core & stick with that concept.
