I believe a guild mailbox is a good idea.
This way, members who are usually online at different times (1 is usually on in morning, 2 is usually on late night, 3 in the afternoon, etc) can communicate guild business with each other.
This would also allow someone from another (or no) guild to leave messages for the guild master.
Right now, the only way to leave messages for a guild master is if
A. you know their name
B. they happen to be online at the same time as you
C. you have to add them as a "friend" to private chat with them (i.e. - report a member as a ks, troll, looter, etc.)
*personally, if I have to report someone to their guild master, I prefer to do so privately so as not to create rumors*
If you are a guild master, you can only leave messages if you "friend" the members of your guild AND if they happen to be online at the same time.
That could be a little hard to do since you can only have 20 "friends" (30 thru payvault), yet you have 40 guild members.
I think there should be 4 boxes:
Box 1 - guild master leaving message for entire guild - (accessible by guild members only, NO EXCEPTIONS)
Box 2 - leave a private message for guild master - (accessible by guildmaster and/or possibly by designated 2nd in command only, NO EXCEPTIONS)
Box 3 - leave a message for ALL guild members - (not sure if it should be guild members only, or if public)
Box 4 - guild member(s) leaving message for other guild member(s) - (accessible by guild members only, NO EXCEPTIONS)
I know 4 boxes might be too many, any suggestions?
