So an idea struck me, I figured I would make a thread about it and see where it leads.
As many of you are aware, as you approach a higher level, books become greatly more important. There have been suggestions like "make books get more expensive as you level", shot down because of alternate accounts of course. I'm sure there are other examples, I just can't really think of them atm, and they're not my suggestion anyway so moving on.
I was thinking, every 100 levels the mp cost goes higher. Why can't the ability points we gain from gaining levels go up too? It starts off at 3, then 4 at 101-200, 5 at 201-300, 6 at 301-400, and so on. Granted, this would make high level players WAY stronger, so there WILL need to be some restatting done to monster defense and HP so they get tougher at a much faster rate. However, I feel like this would be a very fair fix to making books not the only significant impact on stats for everyone over level 400.
I can't be bothered to do the actual math on what stats monsters should get should this be implemented, mainly because I have no clue what kind of response I'll get to it.
So please, respond!
