This is to gather support for a system in which you can craft an item or it drops that has multiple different attributes it gives you say 10% reduced damage from physical damage, 10% to elemental, 25% more damage modifier to weapon.
This would remove duping as a super rare and useful item like how every top RPG has, will have a name/ specific stats that would be close to impossible to have multiple copies of.
And example of this would be like "Deep Fire Phantom Staff" and instead of the text being white, it could be yellow/ purple/ orange or have a glow around the text.
It would have stats like these:
176-225 damage
1-50% increased damage
1-10% increased MP
.1-.2 increased range
So it could be either 1% enhanced damage, or anything in between to 50%, same for any other stats.
So for example (X) player has a Deep Fire Phantom Staff with perfect stats, it's worth 6000 tickets because it's the only perfect one in the game, and all of a sudden you see a random noob with bad english say "Oh I also have a Deep Fire Staff with the same stats!" then Rob can find who duped it and trace it back to the origin.
We would also have a list of histories who it went / traded to as well like:
Tomatha (Crafted it/ Found it) - > Sintoque - > II - > coke_na_rc - > Sintoque - > II -> Sintoque.
Another way to deter dupers would be the ability to name any items you want specifically to your account name.
So then after it's traded to Sintoque, he wants to name it because it's the only perfect Phantom Staff, and wants to put his legacy on it, he names it (Could cost a decent amount of gold/ tickets), now it's named Sintoque's Deep Fire Phantom Staff, and now with the history on the item, the naming of it, and we know exactly where it went and who has it, now we can deter big level duping in the future for good.
Robby has actually done a crazy good job at deterring duping, I know of a lot of billion dollar franchise games that have had duping since the beginning of time.
This would make the game a lot more interesting for PvP because it wouldn't be only your stats, it would also be your items too to a CERTAIN degree.
For example if this staff with perfect stats for a staff sells for 6k, a staff 98% similar just let's say 48% enhanced damage instead of 50% which would make barely if no difference, would only be 2k, and one with 23% enhanced damage, lower % mp boost, etc would be like 50 tickets or like 6 million gold, very affordable to people wanting to have somewhat fair duels.
But like always people will pay for the trophy item, and this can benefit Rob in ticket sales as there will be people who join for the PvP, and spend tens of thousands if not hundreds of thousands of dollars to get all perfect class setups with all perfect items, and more money for Rob (Even though he doesn't really care about the money at all, he focuses on game development, you guys should check out his old flash games, he used to program flash games (to my knowledge from the looks of it) just because he liked making them/ that was his true hobby, but that's my opinion and I have no idea and am just speaking from my personal view on it.
So yeah, more money into the game = more game development, and a more affordable and robust economy for the game.
I feel like a lot of people quit the game because there is no active PvP, and these are people (like me) who would of put tons of in real life money (I don't make barely any money, I'm just a normal person who works a normal job) just to have fun with my friends in a crazy team pvp event where we all have shiny cool items that we can trade with each other.
I feel like adding rare items to the game (Items with unique spawn modifiers/ stats/ unique prefix and suffix name augmentation) and naming items would cure duping on a big scale (Things that can ruin this game truly, if a duper gets out of hand and he dupes without anybody knowing, and he plays like a normal high level player and nobody has any idea.
Would be cool with extended maps with higher jumping pads and a wider view, a ctf type of game where everyone regardless of level has a purpose/ can be in it, can help built turrets because they have higher woodcutting/ crafting etc skill.
With rare items the lower levels can fish/ cut wood/ smith and make crazy good items, and he could become very rich and have high stats through his hard work, and it would take away the sting people people have who want to cut wood or craft but then realize it's easier to just grind and buy the items someone else crafts/ wood cuts/ fishes, and then they just quit because they don't like grinding for no reason all day.
Idk, just random unorganized ideas really, any input would be awesome, I realllyyyy like people's ideas in suggestions I go over them and I'm like "Damn I totally never thought about that" so yeah would be awesome if those same people put their creativity into this thread and we could petition for it:
1) Items of all types other than current rares, edibles, etc can spawn with a "rare" or "Unique" or any type of name attached to it, you can either craft by luck or find these in drops from monsters, can be swords shield anything, and shields would have defense modifiers rather than attack % like a sword.
The items with % modifiers like for defense or attack could cure the "I have 20,000 strength but my armor gives me 40 strength and my weapon only adds 300 damage"
2) And Improved PvP system (Which I know is coming, so this is just beating the dead horse)
