If you are reading this, you are probably new to the game, or looking for some helpful information. This guide will cover most- if not all of the basics to the game Helmet Heroes.
Before reading this guide, please note that this guide was originally made by Drozin, but is now adopted and maintained by Robrodude. This guide is also heavily based on the wiki, which can be found below.
Some of the information also comes from my game knowledge, along with things that were briefly described or left untouched in Drozin's guide or in the wiki. Thanks to everyone in the Discord for their ideas and contributions, along with anyone from this forum. Please bear with me and everyone else working on this guide, as it is currently a work in progress. Controls
The basic controls of the game are as follows:Movement: WASD Keys or Arrow Keys [Explained in detail in the spoiler below.]
Attack: Space
Pick-up an Item: E
Cast Rod or Cut Down Tree: C
Top right corner) Hero-Pedia, Missions, Social, Items, Map, Payvault, and Options: Click
HP (Top left corner)- Your current and total health. Every ability point you spend on your HP will increase it by 10.
MP (Top left corner below HP) - Your current and total magic points. Magic points are used for special attacks when attacking with a staff or wand(s). Every point you spend on MP will increase your total MP by 10.
Note: Secondary Note: Dexterity - Increases your chance of doing a critical hit (350% regular damage), as well as increasing your movement speed. Every point you spend on Dexterity will increase your critical hit rate by 0.33% and movement speed by 0.006 mph.
Strength (Power)- Increases damage dealt with melee attacks (for swords, mace, axe, or hammer only). Every point you spend on Strength will increase your melee damage by 1.
Range - Increases damage dealt with range attacks (for bows or sling only). Every point you spend on Range will increase your range damage by 1.
Magic - Increases damage dealt with wands / staffs. Every point you spend on Magic will increase your magic damage by 1.
Artillery - Increases the damage dealt by guns. Every point you spend will increase your gun damage.
Defense - Every point you spend on Defense will reduce damage taken from enemies. Multiplying the enemies damage output times .7 is the best way to calculate whether or not you will be able to take a hit from a monster without taking damage. If you defensive output is equal to the monster's power times .7, you should be able to take a hit from it. The power of each monster can be found in the Hero-Pedia in game, or in the wiki at:
)
Skills - Skills are extra enhancements to your character that you utilize by going to the Skill menu. You get one skill point every time you level up. These enhancements can be special attacks, or passive bonuses to certain stats. For a list of all of the skills and what they do click here. The way these are used are very important, so it would be best to look at all the skills before using your skill points, and planning out which skills you think are most important / beneficial to your character.

There are 4 primary classes in Helmet Heroes; Warriors, Archers, Cowboys and Wizards. The class you choose is determined by what you put your Ability/Skill Points into and what weapons you choose to fight with.
This guide will not go in-depth with stat builds and ways to distribute your points. These are only structures of the way the game was intended to be played, but there is no perfect way to making a character that fits everyone's style of play. Apply them as you see fit and you will have much more fun.
WarriorsWarriors are a true force to be reckoned with. Often using melee weapons as their main form of attack, they are powerful, hearty, and can withstand many attacks.
They tend to use Strength, Dexterity, HP, and Defense.
Warriors do a lot of damage, but should be able to take a lot of damage as well due to having a low range, making it harder to distance yourself from monsters or avoid attacks.
ArchersArchers are the masters of the bow and slingshot. They have great range that can hit monsters from afar.
They tend to use Range, HP, Defense, and Dexterity.
Archers have a medium to low amount of damage, but their range makes up for the downfall of their damage. Their defense is normally low or medium compared to other classes due to the armor available in game.
WizardsWizards emit an aura that imbues them with great magical power. They have deadly magic attacks which are cast upon monsters.
They tend to use MP, HP, Defense, and Magic.
Wizards may have a short range, but they do a lot of damage to make up for it. Their damage is high, and armor is normally very low towards the defense side, although it is made up for with the healing skill.
CowboysCowboys use their quick moves and high damage and fire rates to leave their enemies riddled with bullet holes.
They tend to use MP, HP, Defense, and Artillery.
Cowboys use range, but their range is not as far as the Archer class, but is farther than the Wizard class, although the distance a bullet travels may be increased. Most Cowboys have high damage, and this class is normally used for their offensive specialties.
OtherAlthough this was already stated at the start of this section, you also have the creative freedom to make whatever kind of character you want. So, if you feel the need to branch out and have a Mage with a shield, or a Warrior that can also use a wand, feel free to do what you want. Although it may make it harder to farm and advance in the game, these custom classes that are different than most typical characters are fun to play!

FishingFishing is a skill used to catch fish, and with catching fish you will increase in level. Each time your level of fishing increases, the time you have to catch a fish when it bites (explained belows) increases by a millisecond.
To acquire a fishing rod which is necessary to fish, (unless you happen to own a fishing net, which will also be explained down below), you must either go to Aqualantis [pictured below] and buy a fishing rod from Milton in his Fishing Shop for $700, or kill Fishurns in Aqualantis.
After getting this piece of equipment, you can fish!
To start fishing, follow the instructions below:To fish you must first find a fish in a body of water. Then you have to press C to put down your bait. There should be a white circle that surrounds your rod. If the fish is in the circle, it will get attracted to the bait. You then have to wait a little bit until an exclamation mark appears above your head [pictured below]. If this happens, release C to catch the fish. If you are fast enough, you will catch the fish.
Shiny Fish:Shiny fish are fish that are rare and can be sold for lots depending on what it is. It will appear a different color than the normal breed of fish, and from time to time have a shining effect. So if you spot one, catch it! Some of these fish can be used to craft powerful items, so you may chose to keep it to make a strong item, or sell it for some money. These shinies can also be used to increase stats, similar to the way books do from libraries (explained later).
NPC's:
NPC's (Non-playable character) are found all around the world of HH, some may be healers, vendors, crafters or guides
Healers: These specific NPC's heal you if you talk to them
Vendors: These people will sell stuff to you. ex: armor, weapons. food. Or you can sell stuff to them for 35% store price.
Crafters: These people are usually found in the Deep forest region or the Lava region, these people will craft items for you if you have the specific items.
Items needed
- Fish
- Wood
Guides: These people usually give out tips or information about the area.
Pets:
You can find and adopt pets in Elandra island in Petropillis for a price.
.Guide to pets:
Once you have bought a pet, It is reccomended to get it's love up to maximum, why? It get's better stats if it levels up. Ways to get it's love up is to give it food or simply use Pet/Guild heal, or just simply kill monsters at 25% experience.
There are three stages of a pet, first stage is it's first form where you buy it at Petropillis, it is very weak, so be delicate with your pet. Second stage get's better stats, so don't worry if you think your pet sucks, at level 30, your pet will have a option to evolve, at level 60, it goes to it's final form where it can probably take a beating before dying, it will get great stats according to it's starting stats, ex: if your pet had mostly def when you first got it, it will probably have mostly def.
If your pet is knocked out, you can give it food or just talk to a healer to heal it, but it loses love if it dies, but if it's your companion, it will lose 92 love instead of 82 if it's love is at 100.
Equipment:
Pet Helmets: Pet helmet's are bought in Petropillis and give out 3 abillities.
Heal: Will heal you and your pet
Luck: 1 Luck ncreases your drop rate by 0.1 (I think)
Speed: increases your pets speed, not entirely sure if it also affect you, but i think it does.
Shoes, your pet can equip regular shoes, so don't worry about going all the way to Petropillis again, instead, get to Sam Shoe at the beach.
Pet Abilities:
Your pet can have 3 Abilities and a option for it to do nothing, here is a list of abilities.
Quick Attack: This option will make your pet attack quickly, but your pet will do less damage.
Attack: Just a simple attack, no Biggy.
Power Attack: A more deadly attack, but your pet will attack slower
Extreme Attack: A more, more deadly attack, but slower, slower
Loot: Your pet will simply scavenge for items.
Increase Dex: title says it all, but your movement spend will not increase.
Increase luck: Increases your luck by 4.
Half Defense: Increases your pet's defense by a little.
Full Defense: Increases your pet's defense by a larger amount.
Booster: Pet's defense increases and increases your critical chances.
And finally, mount, this happens to some pets, only in their third form, it increases all 4 of your damage stats, ex: Power, Range, Magic, Artillery.
Chopping, this trait is essential to crafting, for all crafting recipe's (I think) need wood, to chop, you simply press C, but you will need some good gear and a good weapon to chop, from chopping your level will rise, allowing you to chop easier. to specific wood, you must talk to Wood Man Tim or Wood Man Steve to make different types of wood. A tree can drop around 0-3 logs, and chopping isn't that easy, it will take some time.
Hacking, Duping, Scamming, etc.
Do Not do this, you will get caught someday and will get player and maybe, also IP banned. If you have noticed, Robby (GM) has banned the Philippines from making new accounts, why? Most hackers, dupers, etc. Are from there, don't be a hacker, be a helper, sir pls. (No offence to the good players there, *yells* You guys play on!)
Tickets:
tickets are a currency that you need to buy with real money. Buying tickets gains you access to many different accessories in payvault, and lots of bonuses and things to help your game like more inventory space. When you buy something you are helping donate to Helmet Heroes, so try and donate someday!
Shields:
Shields are used by mainly Warriors and on some occasions, you may find a mage using a shield, shield give you a bonus to your defence.
If you have been banned with no reason at all, you should email Robby instead of post here, but if you can't, you can post here, try to use good vocabulary, grammar or punctuation, if you answer like this:
"SIR PLS SIR ROBBY PLS UNBANNED IMJUSTTHATGUY!"
You will probably not get unbanned due to these reasons:
So not use "pls" or "sir", it is beggind language, try using Please.
Due to caps, Robby might not know your Username
Use description of what happened and try to keep your grammar straight.
If there is a date which you get unbanned wait, if it has passed and you still can't get in, Email or Post Kindly. Reasons for this are usually Dupe-sign on, which means the game thinks you have logged on 2 times, and will ban you.
Dex In A Nutshell:
Dex, or, dexterity, increases your critical chance and your movement speed, the maximum is 300 where your critical chance becomes 300, people underestimate dexterity, But i've learned that increasing this is your number one priority, for me, just my opinion, to make more use of maximum critical chance, you should increase your critical damage, this will increase your critical damge, is at maximum, you do about 400%+ the damage then a normal attack.
Lottery:
You may have the chance to win the lottery in snowy flats. You can find snowy flats in the white region.
You can talk to the lottery man there to buy Money Lottery ticket for 10k. Or pay one ticket for the Ticket Lottery.
Forums:
If you we're to make a forum account, you will have to follow some rules.
No spamming.
If you are going to plead to get your account unbanned and you've Duped, hacked, etc. Stay banned, we don't want a person like you destroying this game.
Don't swear over the limits. Or mainly, don't swear.
No arguments, posts will be deleted.
If you accuse someone of doing something wrong or want to have donations, post them in the right place.
If you do accuse someone or know they do something wrong, be polite and do good vocabulary, grammar, and punctuation.
If you want to get unbanned for doing nothing wrong, do the same thing.
Don't say anything bad over the limits to the gm.
That's all i can think of, for now.
Hope this information will help you new people to this game.

Maps
The map in this game can be located and gotten to by clicking the Map button on the menu at the top. Upon opening the map, you will be greeted by a list of your friends and a series of yellow dots connected by black lines.
The yellow dots represent maps, or stages, and the black lines show how each map is connected. If you follow the lines that are connected from your name, or your friends' name on the left to the corresponding yellow dot, you can see what map they are currently in. Hover over a yellow dot for information about the map's number and name. The map will also show you how many players are currently online. Click the refresh button on the map to update the map to a more current time.
Missions
Missions are the equivalents of "Quests" in many other games. They are tasks given to you by NPCs that require you do do something for a reward in return. Typically these tasks range from dressing up in a certain outfit, finding and getting a certain item, and doing errands. Missions also add a little bit to the game's overall storyline, which can break up the monotony every once and a while with some nice dialogue.

Guilds
Guilds are the equivalents of party systems in other games. They allow a large number of players (40) to join a big group with a common goal. They are featured on the Guild List in Mushroom Village, and can participate in GvG (Guild versus Guild) combat where only opposing guild members can take damage. When training, anyone who is part of your guild will share in the exp you get from killing a monster. You will also get a share of their exp as well.
To create a guild, you must go to the guild house in Mushroom Village. There, you will talk to Gellius, who will be able to create a guild for you for $200,000. When creating a guild, you must have a name and description of your guild. When you input those two, you can then create the guild.
You may also have a level requirement to make only certain levels able to join your guild.
Player Versus Player
Now that you have learned to master helmet heroes, try to defeat other players in the three different PvPs! There is PvP, Danger PvP, and GvG.
PvP
Stands for Player versus Player. Is an area that players fight one or more players at a time. You can ask people to team, or even work together with a fellow wizard that can help heal you! But they can still betray you! You lose no money if you die in this area.
GvG
Stands for Guild versus Guild. Is an area that players in different guilds fight. Many people in one guild could get together and go to GvG and they could no kill each other, only other guilds. This is very useful for trying to become the best PvPer because others may aid you if they are in your guild. You lose no money if you die in this area.
Danger PvP
Watch out! If you die in danger PvP you will lose half of the money you have with you currently, so if you are doing this to become the best only, then bring no money with you, then fight away! Danger PvP is essentially PvP, but you can lose money.
