Why cowboy damage was changed

Hello, players of Helmet Heroes!
Many of you are probably annoyed that some of your favorite guns got a damage nerf (some guns, like bazooka and sniper rifle, actually got pretty big damage boosts). However, the guns themselves were very unbalanced, and many low level guns were stronger than guns of a higher level (and vice versa).
If you sort it by the "damage per minute" column (click on a column header to sort), then you will see that a gun's overall damage (or its total damage per minute) does not go up with its level like the damage of swords, wands, and bows does. The infamous chaingun does more damage than any other gun, and the Es c90 is another big offender. On the flip side, some guns like the sniper rifle deal pathetic damage compared to the guns directly below them in level.
If you sort this table by "damage per minute", you will see that not only does the DPS of bows correctly scale with an item's level and cost (something that didn't happen with guns), but that the damage per minute of bows was much lower than the damage per minute of a gun of the same level. The enforcer gun's DPS was over 2x higher than the divine bows's DPS-is this fair? And while archers have arrow rain to boost damage output, cowboys have grenades and shotgun as equivalents. Heck, the enforcer gun had the same DPS as a mage with phantom wands-is that fair when the enforcer gun has a larger range and doesn't use MP for each attack?
So in closing, cowboy weapons were unbalanced (not just in damage, but in relation to one another), and some alterations were necessary. At least cowboy weapon damage actually scales by level now. And just like mages used to need rebalancing, so did cowboys.
While some of the nerfs made might be too large (some of the later guns could use small buffs in hindsight), note that in comparison to bow damage guns are still quite strong. Is an archer buff necessary?

Thank you robby for fixing this. many had a hard time to when people spammed shot gun in pvp or gvg. Now they are where they should be.

Yes, an archery buff is necessary. As I said earlier on the Naughty's blog chatroom, I've been thinking it'd be neat if archers had the unique ability to give any bow's arrows a modifier, like the current in-game ice/fire/shock.
Of course, we'd have to ignore ice and fire since some bows do that naturally, but there are other ideas that have been frequented.
Basically, it'd make them more of a unique and jack of all trades class than a powerful one.
And let guns get more powerful a little faster, while we're at it.

i think guns should have more power but a slower rate of fire only,cus they can stun you in pvp annd stuff

Yeeah, archers are still wasted, well all but Kakai and Pft. A little boost for them needed.
And above all, always remmber... Grenades are still lagging you as f**k yay!

This is very sad, and probably a result of the other classes CRYING about cowboys, while still taking advantage of their OWN buffs and abilities.
Sux cowboy had to be nerfed.

Noooo.... cowboy got too much nerfed....
Cowboy are the least used class in the game.
No monster drops book of artillery thus cowboys have to buy books for 55k
Cowboys have the least armors in game...
Oh now they reduced the rps of chaingun to half and reduced it damage to one third which makes it 1/5 weaker than its previous form.... thats way too much.
Anyways time to change class now... nothing to do with cowboy anymore.

Yea im upset, but kreeton only does 82 damage or something like that. I meen come on that ridiculous. Chaingun sucks so stabber can you give us fellow cowboys any tips. I can't afford a class switch nor orb specialization so i am dead in the water. I would almost ask for a discount in ticket prices so we fellow cowboys could switch, but man... If none of that happens then i will try the sniper and xm8 rifle. Bazooka too. Wow, just wow.... I am shocked to be honest, i meen sure a little nerf wouldn't kill me, but looking at all those weapons, wow... Stabber or rob it would be great if you could get us some tips on which guns to use. Quite honestly i think the guns are now less useful, but thats my opinion. I do agree that cowboys were a little op, but mages got nerfed and they are one of the top classes still. To be honest i am not looking forward to the update now. Oh well, part of life, but those tips would be very useful!

I was thinking about changing me class to cowboy after the update 'coz they were OP , luckily this have done first before the update

archers ... mages...and warrior 1 hit monster in the beholder look out with 1600 magic.. strength and range..
but cowboy.. a freaking no no.. were less useful now ahahaha

im a lvl 425 cowboy with weapons skull bone and atomic set<<---- still weak i know @!!!!1

Cowboys and archers are over-nerfed. They deserve a small buff.
Either way, what's point of bringing this up again? I summarized it already.

I tried both sniper rifle and kreeton gun. The result was stunning. The sniper required 2 shots to kill a goo for me, but the kreeton gun required 4.
Yeah sniper shoots slower. So the kreeton gun can kill the monster faster? NO.
If you time it right, you can shoot two bullets from a sniper rifle without excessive delay.
Those numbers are IDEALISTIC. They are NOT PRACTICAL.
Combining with the factor that the other classes can often steal cowboys' kills easily, I support the idea that cowboys should get a small buff.

There is one concern bugging me
A bazooka, can blow up half of Petropolis and has less damage than the bloody sniper, which can only shoot through a tree
